Students´ Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Computer Science (SCEECS 2014) was organised on March 1 and 2, 2014 which involved paper and poster presentation by U.G. and P.G. scholars. A total of 633 papers were submitted by students from across the globe out of which 100 research papers were short listed for presentation in the conference and 83 papers were selected for poster presentation. These papers were published in the IEEE Xplore journal.

The delegates demonstrated their research over innovative subjects like intelligent interactive design based distance estimator robot, power factor corrected SNPS using Sheppord Taylor convertor, broadband microstrip yagi array.

Apart from the conference, a guest lecture series was also organised by IEEE Students´ Chapter, MANIT Bhopal which included lectures by Dr. Walter Lewin, Dr. C P Ravi Kumar (Technical Director, Texas Instrument India) , Mr. B A Sawle (Joint Director, CPRI) and Mr. Prafulla K Nilosey (Former Vice-President - HR, Larson & Tourbo India).

Professor Walter Lewin, addressed the gathering at the International Students' Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Computer Science- SCEECS under the banner of IEEE. At SCEECS 2014, he delivered a lecture on ´ Birth and Death of Stars´ and enlightened the attendees about white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes.

Dr. C P Ravi Kumar talked about the TI (Texas Instrument) India University Program and how TI emerged as a leading semiconductor company. Mr BA Sawale delivered his lecture over "Smart Grid and Indian scenario" in which he talked about the contribution of different techniques of energy generation in providing electricity in the country .Mr Prafulla K Nilosey motivated the students to develop high endurance to physical, mental and emotional stress. He stressed on the ideologies- "Learn to observe & observe to Learn", "Be expert in one or two areas be generalist in many areas".
