AARAMBH is an outreach program conducted by IEEE MANIT Students Branch with an intrinsic aim to promote science not as a subject but as a part of day to day life and career interest to the underprivileged sections of society. As we all know science is an integral part of our lives. It is everywhere around us. So the more we understand it and at an earlier age, the better it is.
So as we grow up we can have a rational perspective. AARAMBH was conducted on 1st and 2nd September in KAMLA NEHRU HIGHER SECONDARY GIRLS SCHOOL and SHASHKIYA NUTAN MADHYAMIK VIDHALAYA. They demonstrated four projects-Simple DC Motor, Magnetic effect of Solenoid, Wave formation with pendulum of different lengths and Pop-pop boat covering basic principles of science like inertia, magnetic effect of current, buoyancy etc.
hese projects were made using simple household materials and at a minimal cost. Apart from demonstrating the projects, the team members also showed the students how they could make these projects themselves. The sessions were kept interactive so that the students could clear their queries and keep interest in what was being taught. This was followed by a career counselling session in which the team members interacted with the students and answered their queries on how to pursue the career of their choice.
